Photovoltaic

Stamping and laminating technology is most usually associated with flexible substrates, but this technology also offers great potential for a range of applications in the field of photovoltaic. By using it to produce a multilayered stratum composition the technology demonstrates its suitability as a carrier for small solar cells, especially when applied in concentrated photovoltaic. In this case, the sun’s rays are concentrated by deflecting them through a form of optic (mirror or lens) before they hit small solar cells, which in turn require an appropriate carrier.
Due to the extremely high demands involved in concentrated photovoltaic the flexible substrates also function very well when acting as a thin connecting element in-between the individual solar cells. The marginal thickness of the material thus enables the cell packing factor of the module to be significantly increased.
Not only continuous stamping/laminating technology ("reel-to-reel") offers a technological advantage, but also an economical one.
Additional to the mentioned technologies following production processes are available:
Using these technologies tailor-made solutions for conductors for photovoltaic cells are offered.
